"The Dragon"

These pictures were taken on US129 last weekend coming into Tennessee from North Carolina! Most fun i've had on this road on 4 wheels!

Oh yeah, Shelby my dog also rode along!

Used to be great around eight to ten years ago.

Then it got published and promoted 'til now it's a zoo on any given weekend. Try to go on off days/hours.

First photo is from Zeephoto and the second one is Killboy. Those were taken on a Saturday afternoon. A shower had just come through so most the bikes were pulled over. I used to go on the bike on weekday mornings because of the traffic. Here's a pic from Killboy. This was in '07. I was on a 2005 Suzuki SV650. Pretty fun bike!

Yikes Rubi, might want to get some pants and hang off a little. Your pushing the edge aren't ya?

Here's a place near where I live. Haven't had the chance to hit the dragon yet.

Just be careful up there. Three people dead on that 11 mile stretch of road so far this season. Five others dead on surrounding roads as well (if I'm counting correctly, see http://tailofthedragon.com/news.html)

My friend takes his Mini Cooper S (Used to be mine, ) out there every year. One of these days, I'll have to go up there and ride that road with him. You want to know a crazy road, try US 220 west of Covington and Clifton Forge, VA. When I still had the Mini, I had a blast running on that road, the curves, the steep drop on one side of the road, with a rock wall on the other side!!
