Do you ever wish Jeep made the TJ...

...body much more aerodynamically efficient for better gas mileage and to quiet down wind noise? Something like a modern SUV body, but sitting on top of the TJ chassis/engine/axles, etc.

2000 TJ, 4.0L, 4" suspension lift, 35s, rear D44 and front HP30 both with ARBs. AX15, 4:1 T-case.

When you have a choice, buy American made.

If I wanted that, I would have bought a Grand Cherokee.

Yes, my CJ-7 is rather noisy, so I bought an XJ. 6 in-line cylinders of genuine Jeep power, and two solid axles. Aerodynamics are for little cars with fart mufflers.

No, because then it wouldn't be a jeep.

1998 TJ with a hardtop is 0.55

JK hardtop .50

not much gained if it was designed to be so........

If you want a more modernized TJ, the upcoming JL might be for you. It has a lot of TJ design cues.

The only thing I wish the TJ had was more power and an electric top. Hard or soft tops are a pita to put up or down, on or off.

I couldn't care less about fuel consumption. Then again, I don't have a daily work commute.
