I think the original problem was...I.E. I suspect it was failures like my original one that caused them to come up with an upgraded part and that's what they just installed with the recall.

I would add they were incredibly fast.

Either they didn't need to remove the transmission with the first repair (and they were telling me a story cause they were holding onto it for a week, or maybe they just THOUGHT they were going to have to remove it from the initial symptoms) or this repair is different.

Still not having looked up an exploded view in going to assume the former, cause today they replaced the shifter assembly (and presumably that includes the bushing) ALONG with the impact sensor upgrade in under an hour.
