Corbeau Seats

I am looking to get some new seats for my 2003 TJ. I am thinking about the corbeau moab in neoprene. anyone got these seats? if so what do you think. also can you use regular 3 point seat belts or do you have to get a 5 point harness? Thanks for the feed back.

You can use both, I'm looking at these in black vinyl. Sat on one and tried it out in a 4 Wheel Parts store a while back, wasn't AS comfortable as I thought it would be, but it's not bad. Personally, I think the Toyota Tacoma seats do a better job at what the Moabs are supposed to do.

That's the only thing I can compare them to as far as experience. The Yota seats seem to have thicker bolsters for the back, does a damn fine job of keeping you planted when you're sideways on the sand. The feeling I got from the Moabs wasn't as much, but I'll have to try them out in the desert to know for sure.

It's gonna be a while till I pick them up though, other things are higher on the priority list.

The seats say they are not a direct bolt in for a TJ does anyone have these in a TJ and if so how easy was the install?

I have the Corbeau Moab's in my Jeep. Just a little over a year old and I have nothing good to say about them.

The foam padding has already broken down underneath the neoprene, so when I hop in my Jeep and I'm not careful, Ill get the bottom bar on the back rest jammed into my back. I already sit a little lopsided due to the foam wearing out on the bottom and it feels like it gets worse every day. I'm not even a big guy either, I'm 175 lbs for ****s sake...

The seat doesn't exactly fit in my YJ. The side bolsters rub up against the roll bar making it hard for me to recline the seat, or move it back to the position I like to sit at. The neoprene hasn't help up well either. My Jeep is garage kept and doesn't sit out in the sun often. Yet they're faded to a lightish gray and the fabric is peeling off.

Seems like Corbeau needs to go back to the drawing board, this isn't the first time I've seen a post like that, or heard the same thing.

Guess it's time to look into Bestop seats.

This again? Yes I have them, no I don't like them. Basically same complaints as above, plus a few more. Have had them a few years now and would have replaced them but seats are so damn expensive, so I just suffer.

Save your money for better seats, moabs are not worth it.

Like every automotive forum, there are good and bad stories about every product. I've had the Corbeau Baja XRS seats in my TJ for about 2 years now. I've had no issues with wear of the fabric or quality of the product. I did have some issues with interference with my roll bar but a quick trimming of the padding took care of that problem.

It seems the Moab gets a lot of bad reviews. All their other seats get good reviews though. I'm wanting the Moabs in black vinyl most people get them in neoprene.

That might be part of the reason for the bad reviews.
