I'm kind of disappointed they aren't waiting until 2017 for a new body style.

That is SO not fair. CJ owners got to bash on YJ owners for 9 years (actually 10 if you consider 1996).

Then YJ owners had their day in the sun and got to bash on TJ owners for 10 years.

You JK owners can't get off scott free in 4-5 years!

I say they hire Jerry to design the 70th edition.

I just hope they don't change the Wrangler too much. I'm scared to see what the Liberty is going to look like. I really like the KKs. With the exception of the Wranglers, they are my favorite Jeep model.

Maybe our "Constructive Criticisms" will somehow sway the design concept and final production vehicle into that of a real Jeep!!!

How exactly does this start-stop technology work?

I couldnt tell you how exactly in an auto application. I'm figuring it would be similar to how a gas golf cart works. Step on the gas engine runs, lift off engine stops.

Ahhhhhh, that makes sense...that would be horrible for off road situations.

I'm not sure how they could impliment it into a manual. I do believe there would be an offroad disable switch. Or possibly it would turn off when you shift into 4 wheel drive.

I would have to agree with that, otherwise it would be horrible for trail use...

The start stop is probably more like hybrids use now, the engine does not shut off just because stop. It might be able to start in gear, which would really be interesting for offroad.

The start mechanism is very diffrent from a conventional starter. Much heavier duty and does not clunk to engage.

Probably that's how they intend to deal with the EPA crap.
