Bushwacker Bug Deflector questions

Well I have my first ding.....rock chip just above the nose of the hood. I have been thinking of putting on a bushwacker bug guard, but had a few questions for anyone that has one. (It will cover the ding )

- I understand the tape is one time use, but can it be removed without ruining the paint. I have this image in my head of it just ripping the paint off the hood if I ever remove, or not being able to get the residue off, or paint fade.

-Any concerns with water/snow build up under causing rust issues?

-Does it match the fenders?

-I have a gecko sport. How do you feel it would look? Could break up of gecko color..... or just ugly?

Thanks

If you're worried about rock chips, look at clearplex or other types of clear film. It goes over your paint. Also called clear bra. I have it on some of my cars, and it's great.

Yea I was think that, but then I would have to get the chip fixed.....might make more sense in the long run to go this route. Just not sold on how the bushwacker would look on gecko, if I had and or grey or red jeep it would be a sure add on for me.

No matter how good the tape, differences in sunlight and weather exposure WILL leave some trail on the paint.
