Bought a 93 Sahara tonight.
Bought a 93 Sahara tonight.
I used to hang a bit in the TJ forum as we used to have a 2006 Wrangler Sport. We have missed it ever since we sold it, so I bought an old school one to have some fun around town in.
1993 Jeep Sahara (Dont know what Sahara really means)
70,000 original miles.
New clutch, tires, windshield in the last 2 months.
Drives excellent. Very excited to have a Jeep again.

By the pictures and the specs it sounds like you picked up a solid Jeep. Congratulations and good luck with it. Maybe you'll find you like it more than that TJ you had!

Only thing it got that others didnt have is the cool color seats and exterior color. No advantages like in the later TJ line. So same axles and engine, and trans, and transfer case as all the other 4.0 YJs.

I have a lot of questions. I will be uploading abotu 20 pics in a few mins to this thread. Did detail #1 inside and out, basic wax job.
Questions I will be researching..
-Do I have to remove my bikini top in order to install my soft top? I have no instructions, but I can probably figure it out.
-Can I remove the "Clifford" alarm from the 90's? It obviously doesnt work since I dont have any remotes. I dont want to render my car inoperable if its tapped into the fuel cutoff or something.
-My drivers side seatback is loose about an inch back and forth. The other seat is solid.
-Think I should rip out all the carpet altogether? And just run bare metal floors? I dunno, this stock carpet is all curled up anyway. Do they make a perfect oem carpet kit if I did want to replace it?
-I am missing a couple rubber plugs under the feet of both riders. A 1" hole in each side. I mopped up a little water under passenger side but thats cuz I just washed the truck and probably get water all inside it.
-My doors are REALLY hard to close. You gotta slam them with all your might to get them to close fully.
-I seem to have A/C? It comes out of the middle 3 main vents under my dash. Then I have two little side vents on each side of that? Nothing comes out of those on any setting. But my heat does seem to work coming out from the bottom somewhere.
-Are my wipers supposed to stop maybe 3-4" up my window instead of flat and out of sight?
-Is my stock jack worth anything or can I just trash it? I already took it fully out of my engine compartment.

Post all your pics in photobucket then post them here using the [IMG] tags and someone can make them click free.
Looks like a nice solid jeep.
Answer to one of your questions, the wipers stay up a bit on the YJ the TJ's they lay flat.
