What is the cheapest way to send something to Iraq? I'm just a dumb retired Jarhead, I must have missed it in this thread or didn't read correctly on the www.anymarine.com. From my work using UPS to Iraq, is $150.00. It is worth it, but I donít have it to spare as of now.

It cost me under $8 to send my 17 lb. box of magazines to him via the US Postal Service. It'll take 2-3 weeks to get there but the Marines won't care.

Sent a box of magazines to Steven - cost $8 and some change for one of their flat rate boxes. It held about 25 magazines I think.

The boxes are free. don't forget the customs form and to label the box. The customs form may not get put back on the box so address it separately from the customs form.

So stop by the post office and pick up a handful of boxes and customs forms and hand them out at your next club meeting....

Is there anyway for subscriptions to be forwarded to you guys over there? Would it possible if it was sent to your family they could easily forward it on to you? If so I will offer up to buy you guys a few subscriptions to the mags of your choice.

DITTO: flat rate USPS is the only way to go...don't forget to read what some of the other Marines need! Lots of WMs need hygeine products, too. All the guys want good razor blades, snacks, skivvies, drink mixes, etc. Please be careful with the addresses!!!! When in the wrong hands it could be very bad! AnyMarine.com (http://www.anymarine.com/) has a few restrictions but it's for their own safety. Now that more people are looking, we can help more of our brothers and sisters in arms!

I have close to 100 mustang magazines and only about 20 jeep magazines. I am ready to ship. What's you address? P.M. me. Do you have a APO or FPO address? I am stationed in Japan and can send them free that way. Thanks, Kent

I don' tknow if any marine is like this, but what would be cool is if you could send stuff you have that marines or other servicemen might like to a place and they just store it and keep a list of stuff. Then the servicemen can look at the list and request stuff and they get it if instock. Just a random thought that would be cool.

Thanks for letting me know about anymarine. I am going to check it out tommorow. I know a few computer people that just got back and said they would have loved to get some comp magazines.

txboy72,

I finally got around to mailing the magazines and a couple of games. There is a couple of playboy, motorcycle and car magazines. You also will get two play station and two xbox games. I think you said it was a xbox 360, I know the PS2 games want work but some xbox games will play in a 360. If they donít, maybe you can trade them out with someone. Let us know when you start getting the packages.
