Black jeep, Khaki Top?

Anyone have one of these? I have a black hardtop right now, on a black LJ. I really want a soft top. I found one for $600 in the area, but it is Khaki. Any ideas on how this would look? It would be something different at least.

Looks neat; we almost got one.
I used the forum email service to contact you; I can email you a photo of my wife on the test drive.

I kinda like it!

Might be a little difficult to tell through all the mud and dust, but it really is black!

IMO black soft tops don't look so good. New, sure - but after they fade a bit they don't match the rest of the deep black body. But a tan soft top looks good until it comes apart.

My soft top:

My JK is black with a khaki interior. It came with dual tops. Because of the interior color, both tops are supposed to be khaki. The soft top was on when I picked it up. I went back a few days later to get the hard top. The khaki hard top on a black JK looks like crap. The dealership knew I was not happy with it so they gave me a choice of black or khaki hard top, which they aren't supposed to do. I took the black and am happy with it except for the heat. Keep in mind, the JK khaki is not the same as LJ / TJ khaki.

Actually, most of the pictures people posted are spice, not tan or khaki.

says the guy who posted a picture of a slate gray top

anyway, khaki is defined as the "color of dust" so it can really be any number of shades - and it really depends on who you ask - sometimes it's nearly green, sometimes brown, sometimes tan, etc
