Bar Pin Eliminators

Just curious as to what these do and are used for?

I've heard of them but can't find much on them.

Thanks

Standard shocks have that bar through it that is flattened on each end with a notch for the bolt. They do not compress the bushing in the shock so it can rattle, the also have a tendency to break. the eliminator replaces that bar with a bolt that causes the bushing to be compressed , so no more rattle.
