A quick update I am still getting 17 or 18 around town but now that I put on the BW flat fenders fast freeway runs have dropped a ton. My last trip earlier this week I was in a hurry running 80 mph+ netted me 14.5 mpg. I guess I need to slow her down a bit. Before the flat fenders and maybe running a bit slower I was 20+ highway.

I find it funny that JK's are getting the same milage as I am getting with my 25 year old YJ that has all kinds of emissions crap choking it down.

Best part is they can get that mileage and make twice the power.

Have you ever seen the emissions controls on a 4.2l in a Yj the 4.2 in 86 had 45 more hp and 30 more ftlbs in 87 the emissions ramped up and choked it down. either way with modern technology the jk should get better milage.

^^Congrats! I'm only averaging 14-15, but I think a lot of that is because of the winter-blend gas and using 4WD so much lately.

Wife's '13 JK got 11 mpg on her last fill up. Remote start, cold temps and in town driving is killing it.

2013 Sport w/32" tires. - getting about 12MPG this winter being pretty liberal with the skinny pedal (gotta get in that gap in traffic!)

Best I ever had was 23mpg on a summer road trip.

18.96 MPG is my overall average so far. The best I've ever done was highway trips and I can get a little over 22 MPG.
2-Door 2012 JK relatively stock.
