average mpg with a 2 door jk

I am just wondering what people are seeing for average mpg on a 2 door jk

I only have 500 miles on mine now and its already getting 19.7. I am very happy with that as my old TJ and YJ got 13-15 at most. They were older/high mileage

My big Chevy AV gets 13-16 on the 10% ethanol fuel. When it was real gas I was pulling 21.

So I am pleased to see my Jeep is doing much better.
I was gong to get a diesel car that get 40 but not as much fun as a Jeep and I'm tall so I don't fit in many cars and well nothing is like a Jeep and topless etc.

Well, let's see.
on my '12 JK 2-door Sport with a RK 2.5" lift, ACE front and rear bumper (and tire carrier) and 16" MB wheels with 305/70/16 Falkens, I average about 18.5 with the top on and 16.5 - 17 with the top off on my daily commute to work and back. Commute is roughly 55 miles. I'll be switching to 35" tires sometime in the future (whenever these wear out) and will probably to go to 4.56 (at 3.73 now) gears

'12 Sport with 3.73s and 32" tires I'm averaging right around 21mpg.

I'm happy with it.

Don't want to hijack your thread, but how's the mileage for the four-door JKs? I'm about to buy an '08 Rubicon.

'11 Sport 2-door, 6-speed, BFG 245R16 TA/KO, just finished 3200 mile road trip. 50/50 freeway/back roads, overall averaged 19 MPG by fuel slips & Gps. Smooth sailing, zero oil consumption

I'm getting 18 to 19 08 JKU with 32s and 3.73 gears. My 05 I sold struggled to get 15 with 4.56s and 32s and my 3.8L has way more power.

Soccer six in the mix.

'12 2dr 6 spd with 2.5" lift, 315/75/16 Kumho KL71's, 3.73 gears, aftermarket front bumper and air dam removed. My jeep tells me I am getting 14/15 mpg in town but I am 20% off due the tires so it is about 17+. On the highway 20+.

I just got a new '13 Wrangler Sport back in mid-August, and I love the better gas mileage. My '06 was getting around 12 mpg.

My '13 is averaging 19-20 mpg. And I have the 32-inch tires. Approximately 1,200 miles on it.

You will most likely get around 18-19 average.
I've had 3 jkus and all got about the same mpg despite differences in gearing and engines. One was 08 with 3.21, another 10 with 3.73 and now 13 jku rubi with 4.10. All manuals and with the stock rubi tires.

The 07-11 Heaps with the 3.8L average closer to 15mpg, the 12+ with the 3.6L average higher, somewhere around 20..

All about that unibody life.

2012 Sahara, stock 32" tires, 3.21 gearing. 22 MPG highway typical, though 24 MPG was not uncommon. 20 MPG was the typical mixed highway and city driving.

Don't even look at MPGs until after the engine is broken in around 5,000 miles or so.

My 2013 gets 21 MPG Highway @ 70-75 MPH. Very happy with it.
