I wanted that colour so bad! It's my favorite hands down.

On that note. I like the gecko green. It would probably get old after a couple years though lol.

It is awesome. In low light it looks black until you are up close. I wish they had put that "Arctic Blue", I forget what the official name was, that they put on the Liberty Arctic Edition on the Wranglers. That color is beautiful in person. Jeep really had a lot of cool colors this year. My girl is planning on getting a Patriot or similar model next year. I'm kind of excited to see what colors are going to be available.

You know, on my '12, I have yet to get hood flutter. They must have changed something, because it's been a very windy spring and I would have seen it many times on the 2010....

I'm not a fan of the bright colors either. I picked up my black '12 JKU Rubi this last Sat. The color I really wanted (any form of mil green...me, OD, etc...) isn't an option unfortunately. Ahh well, at least I got everything else I wanted

That teraflex rig is a BEAST!!! I love it.
I got my teraflex driveline and am waiting for my Lift to show up this weekend. I can't wait!!! The grease seal blew out of the driveline in shipping and made a huge mess in the packaging.... oops.. Should be no problem to pound it back in though.

I was a young man when aluminum engines were first introduced. I know technology has come a long way, but I have a certain amount of cringe with the Pentastar for that reason.* I put 260K on a straight-6 Cherokee and never touched the drive train in any way, so I know Chrysler can make a great engine. I hope that after its been under heavy use for a while, that the Pentastar still looks as good as it does now.

I think I'll wait until it's proven before I look at upgrading, for that reason. Everything else, I love. I'd love to see progress reports when the engines have been exposed to strain under different temperature conditions.

*(For younger readers, the first aluminum engines were a disaster because of aluminum's tendency to expand/contract in response to temperature changes. It was mated with steel heads and the resulting difference in expanding and contracting often lead to cracks in the metal.)

You have got to be the oldest member on this forum. I don't know exactly when the first aluminum engine was built but I do know that the Wright brothers had an aluminum engine in the Wright Flyer.

That was in 1903...

My hood moved about as much as I remember on my old YJ. Anytime I passed a semi that was oncoming at 45+ it would jump pretty high.
