Man I live in the wrong area. In my shop we only charge $50 an hour and we are about the average for our area. Some of you got socked $100. If anyone want to come to Iowa I can install your lift in a professional shop for $50 an hour.

my shop charges $107/hr but thats at a dealership. there are small 2 or 3 bay independently owned general repair shops around here charging $70-$100/hr. a lot of people do not realize the mechanic gets paid less than half what the customer paid for labor. (the mechanic does not get paid $100/hr haha i talked to a guy the other day that thought i made like $80/hr cuz he thought i got paid most of what the shops hourly fee is.) this is why i charge $50/hr for sidework since it is cheaper for the customer and its more than i would make working through a shop.
