I've never had a new Jeep, I've always bought them a year or two old before but I get a killer deal through work on Chrysler products so I went for it.

Congratulations!! I hope it gets here soon for you. What color?

I ordered red, we had decided to get rescue green but the color was pulled.

I'll admit I'm anxious.

The red will be really nice! Go get a tire cover or mats or something for it -- helps the nerves.

Wonder if they are "real" gauges? (doubtful) As most years since 90's, guages in auto's are actually just "on/off" switches like an idiot light anyway. And w/ the ECM they are programmed to set off idiot lights anyway.

Most voltage gauges are real. On a car with power options like power windows if you hold the button down after the window is down all the way you can watch the gauge drop a little. As for oil pressure gauges I believe most of the are on a switch and are worth the space they take up on the cluster.

My wife's KJ has leather, which is nice and still looks good six years later, but I oil it often. I wouldn't want leather sitting in the sun and I would think it would start cracking in no time.
