2010 Sahara 2door and it's leaking top :(
Hello all. here is a copy of my first post. I'm new here.
Hey all, new here just been skimming over the board reading forums/threads etc. Sorry to hear your nightmare stories for your 2010's. I just moved to NC from PA. Had a 05 Rubicon, white with a cpl grnd in additions/secturity system/pioneer avic 3, chrome side steps, tubular bumbers, seat covers, oh **** grips. anyhoo... I waited forever to buy my 1st jeep. Rode in a jeep in 7th grade with the top down and I was hooked. Out of highschool I couldn't afford one. Then it was off to college, wife/baby/life etc (and not in that order) was always the excuse of why I couldn't or shouldn't buy my jeep. In 05' got happily divorced bought my Rubi a few months later. To say I was attatched is an understatement. I digress: so had 108,000 miles, roof leaked, had issues with the catalytic converter that was fixed in PA. (not correctly) In NC it wasn't going to pass inspection and in total was going to cost me about 1500 to fix. Sadly to say I told them to lower my jeep from the lift. I pulled it out of the garage, walked thru the parking lot test drove 3 jeeps and left with a 2010 Black Jeep Sahara edition and traded in my Rubi. I was exstatic to have no more issues. No more nickel and dime suprises. Love the look of my new Sahara. I won't lie, I miss my Rubicon and honestly felt more sad to have her go than i was happy to be driving off the lot in my new Sahara. LOL, maybe I have issues. Anyway, good luck to all of you on your new rides! UPDATE: So I've had foot surgery and have been unable to drive my new Sahara. I flew to NY for a couple weeks and my brother calls to tell me that my jeep is soaked. A few weeks ago right before flying to NY i noticed two spots on the top of my jeep inside that appeared to be where it was dripping inside thru the soft top. I thought maybe becuase my jeep had been sitting that it might of had some standing water on top of it, like a puddle. So I asked him to just watch for that. It rained for a few days straight so he put a tarp over the spot that I showed him. (directly above console) So he took the tarp off and called me. He found a PUDDLE of water under the passenger seat and towards the back passenger floor. Big enough that he had to pull the DRAIN PLUGS to get the water out. ![]() ANYONE have any of the same problem? INFO? PS. the dealership is sending ppl over to the house to pick up my jeep to look for the cause. I won't get back to NC till the 27th.
