I'm glad you asked.

I'm not ready to wave the victory flag quite yet, but I have made some positive headway in this battle. If you would PM me your full VIN # I will see what I can do. It won't happen until monday however. I should be able to tell you your #xxxx of 1000 number.

A couple of phonecalls and BAM.................I'm in. Also located the Sahara dash badges but I have to wait till Monday or Tuesday to share that info at "the others request". There in the process of confirming "availability".

Stay tuned. Whooo-ya.

Your getting there.

Ahhh.....the sweet smell of success. I was able to hack into the Jeep supercomputer and pull the information I needed out of it. Here are the fruits of my labor.

Actually it was a very helpful parts counter guy named Jesus that made this whole thing happen. Any Jeep dealer can help you. Ask for part #05175335AA. There will be a footnote in the computer with a phone number. That's it. That simple. They will require your full VIN# and verify your name is registered to the JEEP.

I decided not to go through JEEP and went straight to the source the phone number belonged to. That's who I'm waiting to hear from. A little luck and $40.00 and you'll be done.

What a pain in the *** for such a simple thing. Gotta go, more later. Still waiting to hear back from them.

I had one for awhile and from what I remember there was a problem with the rear glass on the early numbers. They had to replace something to hold it down the rear glass better when it was shut??? the later models did not have this problem. I would ask the dealer about it

Actually a frequently asked questions or FAQ thread about a limited edition model only available for one year and updates from various forum members who own those vehicles about specifics on that model and acquiring limited edition replacement parts is what I would consider technical and not general discussion. Also we have inlcuded postings on specifics of that limited model so that others looking for technical information can find it. Thanks though for tossing it aside as a moderator.

What number is my Sahara? a mystery....

I purchased an 05 Jeep Sahara Unlimited Rubicon. It has the movie badge on the side the star and the word Sahara in gold. It doesnt have the wheel cover, tail light guard or dash plaque. I am trying to figure out what number of 1000 it is but Chrysler says the number is not available by looking up VIN. Any suggestions on how to determine the number of my Sahara?

Jim, thanks for the PM.

Looks like you are #0834 of 1000.

I will be PM'ing you info for getting your dash plaque. I still haven't got a thumbs up for posting their contact info.

I'll post some part #'s for you when I get home.

Wow this thread is really taking off. I don't know if there has just been a rash of people buy Saharas lately or if they are just finding this thread or what. But its just crazy how many people are now showing up with them. At this rate we might actually find all 1000 of them. Or is it 999? Rumor has it one was wrecked almost immeidiatly.

You are the owner of #0969 of 1000.

I got through just before they closed. Congratulations. Welcome to the club. Pictures are mandatory when you get the sahara.

I will PM you the info to get your replacement sticker sometime this weekend.
