Maybe they stopped tagging them after #1000? Mine was pretty much fully loaded, has the manual 6-speed because thats what I wanted, has dual tops and came with full steel doors, khaki paint, chrome grill bezel...
That's really a bummer the sticker never got installed on the dash. Do you have everything else? Special MOAB wheels, chrome grill, rear light guards, map pocket on back of passenger seat and sahara floor mats?

More then likley you were not given the parts that were shipped inside the Jeep. Then again there is no real way of knowing how many they actually made.

If we end up with more then a 1,000 current owners in this thread then we will know LOL.

I posted in another thread that I doudted the authenticity of this being #1. It's a clever use of the english language but not the #1. I called today, it's #554. End of speculation.

i wondered why they didn't include a picture of the "1 of 1000" badge. Good work

For anybody interested I updated both wikipedia and jeepwiki to include descriptions of the 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited Sahara Edition - Limited Edition and cited the Unofficial owner registry as my source of information on them:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep
http://www.jeepforum.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
http://www.rubiconsahara.com/?page_id=4

If you find in errors in what I posted let me know and I will fix it. I figured that since the rocky mountain edition and the tomb raider editions were listed, it was appropriate to also list ours.

I couldn't find it in the first Wiki link. I saw a 2004 Columia edition TJ but I didn't see anything about the Sahara LJ.

I found it on the Jeep forum Wiki. The only thing I would suggest is to drop the line that says it included both tops. There are a number of people, including my self that it appears it never had a soft top. Also the tires are black wall MTRs and not OWL (Outline White Letter). Nothing major though.

That first link I listed I meant to put the wikipedia jeep wrangler link, but I put the wikipedia jeep link so I fixed it in the post and it is now the correct link. I also edited the hard top/soft top line to say this:

Khaki soft top or hard top - also available in Khaki dual top package

This is a copy of a post I put in the Sahara thread within the "general Discussion" area here: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f7/rubicon-sahara-club-181207/ Scroll to the last page.

Any suggestions on how to determine the number of my Sahara?

I'm glad you asked.

I'm not ready to wave the victory flag quite yet, but I have made some positive headway in this battle. If you would PM me your full VIN # I will see what I can do. It won't happen until monday however. I should be able to tell you your #xxxx of 1000 number.

A couple of phonecalls and BAM.................I'm in. Also located the Sahara dash badges but I have to wait till Monday or Tuesday to share that info at "the others request". There in the process of confirming "availability".

Stay tuned. Whooo-ya.

Once I found that Penelope Cruz wasn't a Sahara option I went with a regular Rubicon, however the 1 in 1000 made is kind cool.

^^^ If only I could find a Penelope for mine or even a good look alike, it would be the coolest.
