The rear brackets weren't included on hard top only models to my knowledge. I had to install mine on my sport.

Did that help the window seal better?

It supposedly can, but you can also loosen the bolts for the glass to adjust it up and down.

I just read your other thread about not being able to adjust it down far enough. I will look at my hard top over the week end to see if there is a solution.

OK switching to this thread from xantasm's build thread, Rubicon TJ asked:

Has anyone found something other than the sticker which shows the limited edition number?
Because the interior sticker is gone I'm hoping that there will be something with it's number in the papers that come with it.
Not yet....but we're working on it.

Fargo....I don't know how your window is acting without the brackets but my molding that runs along the bottom of the window fits perfectly into the slot on the brackets.

I'll put up some pics tomorrow if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Well, supposed to be anyway, according to this ad.

Of course the price they post is misleading, as you'll see once you read the fine print at the bottom of the page.

The price isn't the only thing that is misleading...it says it is a numbered unit 1 of 1000 made, not that it is number 1 of 1000 made. I bet money it's not number 1---not that it would be worth a dime more if it was. To be honest I don't think the Sahara package really adds any value to the vehicle, although the wheels are pretty nice.

Alexia and Glockster - Thanks for helping me with my window problem. I had stuffed some fabric in the seal and that worked over the winter. But now its time to find a better fix. Let me know what you see with your windows.

Please post your replys back at my old thread. So we don't get this thread off of topic anymore that we already have. I have a picture on there as well to show you what my window is doing. Thanks for the help.

Just adding some info to this thread.

I got what I believed to be an 05 Rubicon Sahara a couple weeks ago but could not be certain because the jeep came with no dash badge and was missing any identifying marks that would show it was in fact a Sahara edition Rubicon. After help from members here and contacting my local dealer ship and getting the window sticker on the vehicle I was able to find out that it was in fact a Rubicon Sahara.
Through more research I was able to find out the original selling dealer of my Jeep Rubicon Sahara and contacted them and asked if they would be able to tell me what number my jeep was of the 1000 produced. I was told there is not really anyway of telling what number exactly my jeep was. The person I spoke to said Chrysler didnt keep a record of what number each jeep was on file. He told me that jeep put together a bunch of boxes with the extra options that were needed for the vehicles and just tossed them in the back of the jeep before delivery to the dealerships. The boxes contained the dash plaque, tire cover, tail light guards, and the sahara stickers. The dealerships were suppose to install these options but apparently most of them never did.

I did get lucky though. The gentlemen I was speaking with has worked for this certain dealership for a long while and knew about these jeeps and told me he had an extra box lying around with the items I needed for my jeep. I was very excited to hear the news and and I purchased the items from him(yes I had to buy the stuff). Either way I was happy. When I got my box it had the number dash plaque in it which read 150 of 1000. So now I am 150 of the 1000

When I bought mine that is how everything was given to me (in the box) except I was told the Sahara sticker, the Chrome grill overlay, and the painted Moab's were factory applied. Who knows but everything else was in a box and the dealer wanted $250 to put it all on so I just took it with me.
The tire cover was missing. Sorry glockster.

The Moab wheels are painted unique to the package. There is no hard way of knowing if Chrysler only made 1000 units. The dash plaque has a number but the window sticker does not if I remember correctly.

Ok, I got a new limited edition "sahara" spare tire cover off ebay and in the packaging was a instruction sheet. I guess some people cant figure out how to put a spare tire cover on but anyways, it has a P/N on it and I researched it on the net and came up with a link to a PDF of that same instruction sheet. Here is the web link:

Google search for P/N K6858690

And here is the link the sheet in HTML in case the google link has changed:

http://74.125.155.132/search?q=cache:cCzZGGElXKcJ:www.mopar-accessories.com/en-US/imagehandler.ashx%3Fid%3D1369+k6858690&cd=1&hl=en& ct=clnk&gl=us

I can only find that PDF using that P/N and the parts people at Northwest Jeep of Portland are retards. So I thought maybe one you guys if your interested could research that and see if it leads anywhere or is it a dead end because the part has been discontinued and antiquated. I use ebay alot and if anyone is interested I can post if I see more things for our limited edition's on there.

You know, I don't know if there were any add-ons for the 1000 special edition models other than the dash tag, but I have a 2005 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited Sahara Edition that I bought new and it never had a numered dash tag in it. Maybe they stopped tagging them after #1000? Mine was pretty much fully loaded, has the manual 6-speed because thats what I wanted, has dual tops and came with full steel doors, khaki paint, chrome grill bezel...
