ZJ grand cherokee V8, are they good???

Ok, I'm kinda new to this forum. I checked it out a year ago or so because I was buying a XJ Cherokee. I ended up buying a 1993 XJ Larado. It has turned out to be a great Jeep. I got it off Craigslist for $2500.00. It had a rusty lift, 31 BFG, customer front and rear bumpers with a rear tire rack. It had 182k miles on it and outside of a few small things going wrong, it has been a great jeep. I keep it at a vacation home in Lake Havasu, AZ. It is used off road 98% of the time. The problem I have is I need a vehicle that can pull our boat in and out of the water. the boat is about 6500lbs. I tried pulling it out with the XJ once and it did not like if very much. So, I am thinking of getting a ZJ with a V8. I have found one that is lifted with 33's, a 5.5" lift, 140k miles and it is a V8. I know the Jeep 4.0 is a great engine that you can put a ton of miles on. How is the V8 in the ZJ? Any input or things I should beware of? One other think I'm not big on is all the electronic crap and leather seats that come on a ZJ with a V8. My XJ is a bare bones, even had manual roll up windows which is perfect. Let me know what you think
