XJ ?'s help

I think i posted this in the wrong section before I've been pondering a xj for quite some time now and i finally took the dive. Well kinda.. I need your input on what year is best. I like the looks of the 97 and up but i was reading on here that pre obd2 might be better?? Then theres the question of the transfer casses, which are better in what years?? I've got a few older, 91-93 that i can go get but then I also have a 97 and a 98 that i could go pick up. So I really need your experienced minds of wisdom with some input on whats best. This is going to be a bit more then a weekend warrior. I'd like to go as big as 33's and thats about it. So what ya think?? Thanks for any input that you guys or gals might have
