Wrangler Tops

Im looking at wranglers for sale and if they have a hardtop i see in the trunk there is a rolled up thing that looks like a tarp. Is that the soft top? And if there is a soft top will the hardtop be back there?

Hardtops will not fit inside the vehicle. Most are sold with either one top or none. Both tops is an unusual option, so don't assume, ASK!

The technical advice you get from me here is worth exactly what you paid me for it. Warranty issues will be reimbursed at double what you paid me for the advice.

almost every JK we test drove came with both soft/hard top. the soft top is in the trunk area all rolled up from the factory. on some occasions it can be done in a TJ if you can get the top down enough to put the hardtop on

It's difficult to tell from your description what that other item might be. My hardtop came with a canvas-like bag for the front panels of the hard top. The bag had been placed in the cargo area when the vehicle left the factory. When I first saw it, I had no idea what the item was for. The salesman told me it was the bag for the panels. You might have seen other this or a soft top. Most JK's are sold with either choice of top, usually not both.
