wj or xj?

just sold my tj had too needed more room now on seach for a xj or wj but ever xj i have found has alot of rust. i want an xj becuase i know the 4.0 with an aw4 trans is a great combo that can go for many miles but have no idea on the auto trans jeep put in the wj. just seems i can pick up a nice wj for the same price as an rusted xj. need help.
