Will a dealer come down $3000?

I'm looking at buying my first jeep. I have been told by a lot of people to not even bother to ask them to come down more then $100 on new or used. I have 2 door sport hartop automatic with most of the basics that I'm looking at. It's a 2012. They are asking 26450 for it. I have seen similar packages for 2013 around the same price though. Wondering since its a 2012 if they would budge to $23000? Thanks!

Coming Down in Price

Find out what the invoice is 2013 you want and if you join Tread Lightly for 3 years you get 1% under invoice. This is on in stock Jeeps and special orders.

Or you can find out what the average price of the 2012 Wrangler is at used car auctions and the average trade in price. Than average the two and make an offer of $500 over this price.

Just FYI there are group deals out there on 2014 Grand Cherokees for 4to 6% under invoice. Not sure if there are any 2013 Wrangler group deals out there.

Just FYI it maybe too late for a special order on a 2013 since the plants are swithcing over to 2014 soon.

Also get preapproved for your loan with your bank or credit union. That way if you find the one you want in stock you are ready to go at 1% under invoice
and the sales person can move on to their next victim.

The worst they can say is no. It is a 2012 and that is soon to be a 2 year old "new" vehicle. Give it a try.

Thanks for the reply's. I ended up finding a different Jeep. Pretty much the same features as the other one accept its used. It's a 2012 with 8000 miles they were asking 25,700 and they accepted my offer of 23,000. Just have to iron out a few details and I should be getting it on Saturday!

2013 Flame Red Wrangler

Just bought a 2013 Wrangler Sport. Only options are auto and A/C. Live in JAX FL.. got to have A/C! Flame Red is very popular.

Paid $23,500 plus tax and registration.Included in the $23,500 was $599 for tinting and nitrogen filled tires. Did not want Nitrogen filled tires because I planned to upgrade wheels and tires. Got a good deal overall so I did not fight the $599.00 charge!

By the way, I priced 2013 Red Wranglers at least 10 dealerships within 150 miles of JAX. Found out that you can buy a new 2013 about same price as low mileage 2012!!!

Wanted to buy base Sport and then upgrade instead of buying a Sahara.

Spent $1500.00 at Discount Tire and added 17" wheels and tires( 5 wheels and tires) . Tires are Yokohama 275/60-17. Do not plan to off road.

Got 2.29% financing thru dealership

Good Luck

I got it for $23,000 and they gave me a great trade in!! I got 1.99% financing. 2012 7,600 Miles Hard Top with ttops. Automatic, power locks and windows, the wheels had already been upgraded but they gave me the factory ones also that I can sell. Over all I was very pleased!!! So excited to be a jeep owner!!!

There's always room for movement on the cost of any car. Depends on the dealer but check places like Edmonds and that will give you an idea of what people are paying for what and where. Look for incentives and discounts from the seller. A lot of employers also offer discounts on new cars even though they arent widely advertised. Mine gives me X pricing on Ford and GM employee pricing and Chrysler as well. its about 4% above dealer net invoice. I think being a member of Sams or BJs also have some incentives.

Go across the state line into Georgia. Atlanta dealers give $3,000-$4,500 of sticker on their Internet deals. They expect you to finance through them.
