What do fellow jeep drivers think?

What do you guys think of this...
2001 jeep wrangler 4x4
6 cylinder
156,000 miles
Asking price is 4,900
Are the miles to high and or is the price to high? Would I be putting more money back into it? I have heard jeeps last forever and I would like to believe that but I wanted some feedback from experienced jeep driver first,

I'd need way more information than that to estimate.

Based only on the mileage, it's pretty reasonable and that 4.0 should last another 50,000-100,000 miles no problem if maintained correctly.

Yes, I understand that. I mean everything else about the Jeep. Rusted frame, worn out steering components, worn out control arm bushings, old fluids, driveline making noise. These are the things I'd check for at that lower price.

10 Year-100,000 Mile Used Vehicles

I bought my Wrangler with about 105,000 miles. I wouldn't let 150,000 necessarily scare you off. But you better know and expect to at least put $1000 into it immediatley to start getting it roadworthy.

Why is tha it could have been a towed jeep. Just because it has high mileage does not make it a hunk of junk. If the said owner can't provide you with info on the jeep. Take it to your local mechanic and pay him to do a through inspection on it. No need to shoot it down due to mileage. And honesty that's not a bad price.

i would worry more on a towed jeep that one with actual miles due to item not be lubicated
