Towing capacity of 99 wrangler 4 cyl

I am looking at buying a 99 4 cyl wrangler. I have a 15' aluminum bass boat that I can push around my driveway by hand so I imagine about anything can pull it, but we are thinking of getting a bigger boat next summer. How big a boat would this thing pull? We are thinking about 20' boat.

I know TJs with a 4.0 are rated for 2000 pounds. I wouldn't want to do more than that with a four banger. I'd probably stick to 1000 to 1500 lbs.

It is not so much how much they can tow/pull, but rather how much they can stop. Wranglers have a short wheelbase and aren't good tow vehicles for anything of any size/weight.
