Should I buy theft reported vehicle

Following are the Autocheck records found on the 2005 TJ which I like very much and also has very low milage

Ther is one problem which concerns me that THEFT was reported on 04/28/2005 and recovered on same day.

My theory is some one tried to buy the vehicle without paying for it on day 1 and the delear reported theft, which recovered on the same day.

Contact the state DMV and highway patrol departments and explain the situation to them and ask them to run a search on the VIN. If it is stolen they will probably appreciate the help in locating the vehicle. If not, then you know you are good to go.

To the OP I would call the dealer listed and find out what happened. Is the title still clear, or is it salvaged, some states if it's stolen even for a brief time you can only get a salvage title in that case it is worth half of KBB.
