Selling Forester XT for Jeep....Good idea

Hello everyone, i haven't been on this site in years since I was last considering buying a Jeep. I have a 06 Forester XT with around 110000 on it and was considering picking up a Jeep to switch it up. My forester is a great car, but is having occasional issues with valves that are costly due to parts and labor. I was possibly planning on trading my car in for a used Jeep chero or liberty with miles no greater 65k for around 13500 at the most.

My main concern is is it's worth doing this given that my car is overall in good shape, but am a littler nervous for future repairs that have been gradually creeping up.

Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I like the cherokee, but my wife thinks it's too dated. I was leaning on 04+ grand cherokee for hopefully around 10k
