Rare yj question

I'm new to this forum but not new to jeeps currently I own two jeeps a yj and a j20. My question is . I found a wider than normal yj jeep for sale but I can not find any info on it it is not modified but it is about 12" wider than all other. The grill has 11 holes between the head lights instead of the normal 7 any info will be appreciated thanks.

Well, that is interesting. The only similar thing I could find was this TJ:

Note the triple windshield wipers in place of the normal 2, and the 2 footman loops in place of the normal 1.

Yours is missing the loop on the hood. I'd be interested to see more pics and dimensions.

I'm terribly courious about this now, so I did a little more research. Check this out, there's more pictures:

Looks like the exact same Jeep. Same paint, wheel, side steps, brush guard.

I have seen a Cherokee like this. 1 ft wider. I think these are 1 off customs or jeep prototypes.

Not positive. Would need pics of the frame.

My xj has 11 spaces too, I don't think it's any wider than other Cherokees but under the hood there is a tag that says XF and I was told it should say XJ somewhere but it doesn't, it's a 1987 and made by AMC

It is indeed more than seven. But as you said, the Jeep itself appears to be normal width.

I want to see more pics of the YJ in question.
