New to the fourm and need some help

Hello all, I am new to this forum, and in need of some information. so the meat of it is, I found a 1984 jeep Cherokee chief for 670, I think they will take 5 for it. my question is would this make a great trail truck. I live in CO and really want to get into 4x4. So this jeep only has 154,000 miles org, with a v6 and a 5 speed manual trans, but the clutch is gone. She starts and doesn't have any visible issues, other than the clutch. So back to my question is this a good investment or should I keep looking? thanks for any help.

Yes i know my way around a vehicle and can do all my own work. I'm more worried this 84 isn't modable.

84 is probably easier mod-able than what is available today.... No computer crap in it.

By mod-able I am really referring to lifts, parts, etc. I want a cheap easy 4x4 toy. So maybe I'll buy this 84.
