Need help on potential purchase of 89 wrangler yj

Here is the link

They said it has lava paint job and needs new windshield motor. They said previous owner was a mechanic that rebuilt jeeps. Is this worth 3500 ?

The bedliner paint job is a pretty common modification. I would be more concerned with the gearing. Stock gears/4 cyl engine/ oversized tires. The windshield wiper motor is easy to replace.

I would offer significantly less than what they're asking.

I wouldn't pay more than $3000 and that's regarding the location. Check the jeep over a few times and take pictures of the suspension and post them back here before you buy it. We will make sure you're not getting ripped off.

Being in hawaii its probably not a bad price, but I wouldn't pay that much for a 4 cylinder.

Much better looking unit, much newer. However I personally wouldn't buy a jeep that someone else had jacked up and optioned to the max. You have to live with the prior owners idea of what a jeep should be, and pay for it too. Check around for a completely stock model with no rust and modify it the way YOU want to. Good luck.
