Mopar Performance Parts?

When we were at the auto show here in cleveland recently, they had a 2010 Rubicon Unlimited decked out with all kinds of aftermarket stuff. The guy told me you can have the JEEPS upfitted right at the dealer, and they would warranty whatever they put on it. I was interested in having them do 2 things to my JEEP before I buy it, Paxton supercharger, and a 6.5in. long arm travel suspension lift. Would this be a mistake doing this?

When I bought my Silverado I had them install a 6" lift and 35" tires and was extremely happy, and I was just wondering if this is JEEP's version of GM performance parts??

Mopar Performance Parts are available through Jeep dealers, either pre-installed or purchased separately. Only Mopar parts will be warrantied by the dealer, therefore any non-Mopar parts, such as the Paxton supercharger, will not be warrantied.

Here is the Mopar catalog, which lists everything available for Jeep's: http://www.moparspeed.com/assets/files/pdf/mopar/09_Performance_Catalog-120908.pdf

Why so much lift?

Get ready to take out you check book, they charge 3x times what it would cost to do afterward, also they will not warranty no mopar parts. I'm not sure how the warranty would work if you broke parts because of your supercharger. Ya why so much lift that's enough for 37s and 37s are too much for stock Rubicon axles.

JK Rubicon axles will be fine with 37's.

I guess I want the 6.5" lift because I had a 6" lift on my Silverado and I loved it, but with a JEEP will that make it too top heavy off-road or what? I notice most of you guys stick with 3-4" lifts, in the truck world that is mild but maybe that is the perfect height for JEEPS.

I figured that 37" tires with a 5.13 gear set would be fine, or should I get the axles upgraded to a DANA 60? I have learned a lot from this site so far which is good, because I want to be informed before I go and spend all that money on something that won't be what I want.

6.5 inches is a lot of lift on a JK and it starts to get a little top heavy on some trails. If you are going to run 37's, want to keep factory fender, and do harder trails you will need that much lift but if you run aftermarket flat fenders you could get away with 4 inches of lift.
Sometimes even 6 inches of lift and factory fenders doesn't work!
Heres a pic of how I know..

I did that damage with 4 inches of lift, PLUS an additional 2 inches of ACOS lift..6 inches and it still rubs on the factory fenders. Could keep it from happening with adjustable bump stops but havent taken the time to set that up yet.

I disagree.....Especially if she is considering a supercharger or Hemi. D44 are great for up to 35's but any bigger than that a a hard core trail or increased HP and that factory D44 isn't going to last long. You could beef up a D44 but by the time you do all that you might as well buy D60's!!
