Any jeepster guys on here to give any pointers in what to look for?

I take it you mean a Wrangler. Many models to chose from, CJ, YJ, TJ, and the newest, JK.

Your budget, requirements, and usage will help us direct you.

No sir. I mean the jeepster as in a commando style. Thank you for helping though. I have had several cj's and tj's. Great rigs! Now I have a xj built up and the jeepster is Like a convertible xj. Lol only with a frame.

What year/Model Jeepster/commando? (I've had a few)

My wife has found a 69 convertible . that the drive train seems to be very solid and the body is pretty rusty. I was just wondering what are some of the problem areas I need to look into before I buy.

Rust is common in the floorboards, lower fenders, rear body mounts, and tailgate hinge area. Some of the front sheet metal/running gear is similar to CJ's, but most everything is Jeepster specific. Guages are same as J-truck.

Also, when you say convertible, jeepsters all have open top; the convertible is literally a fabric top that folds down with attached hardware, all others had a full or half hardtop.

Yes the fold down top is what it has. Thanks.
