Looking to buy a CJ7

I'm new to jeeps and I'm looking to buy a CJ7. I'm capable of doing my own repairs. What are some issues I should look for and be aware of?

Rust and a cracked frame at the steering box are common issues. Try to find a CJ7 that someone either completed an engine swap that includes fuel injection or converted the stock engine to fuel injection. The Carter carb, which is commonly found on the 258 (I-6) is a POS that is nothing short of a nightmare to deal with.

Rust rust and more rust everywhere. If you are used to a carbed engine the carter is not horrible in my experience (and my CJ was my firsts carbed vehicle).

The T5 trams and AMC 20 are prone to breakage.
