o and lets not forget the rust on my jeep so it needs 2 new fenders and some bodywork to get rid of the cancer but i can do all that myself. My consern there is the frame is rusty and i fear it may be bad but still fixable.

i dont think you can realisticly expect to get 18 mpg with a tj, especially if you said you like to drive fast, even on highways. mine gets about 14-16 i'd say and its all stock. if you were to get a jk well then it would be more efficient because of the new engine i think. But then again i think if you plan to do a lot of offroading a nice low mileage tj rubi is a much better investment than a jk.

I really only drive the focus fast bc thats all it can do the jeep is a nice cruising vehicle that is great for slow trail riding and i used to get 18+ when mine was stock so I assume that I could with either a rubi or jk. If the focus could be fun in something other than going fast I could get 34+mpg but i would always be bored and mad haha

i think unless you can part out the jeep, sell the jeep, sell the focus and have close to the amount of money that a new (to you) jeep would cost then you should probably just stay put. run your jeep into the ground since it probably doesnt have too much value at this point and it is already built up to wheel in. If you dont have a garage for it consider getting a jeep cover or something for when its sitting.

My main reason for thinking jk is that I have a family me my fiance and her son who is 2. I think a jk might be nicer for us but as of right no nobody complains about the tj.
