A lot depends on what your looking for, how old, and your budget.

Wranglers come in three models.

YJ . '88-95
TJ . '97-06
JK . '07-present, only model available in 2dr and 4dr.

Each of these three models have their on tech forum here and there is a general wrangler forum. You can visit, do some reading to see what others here have to say.

A tj and around 9000

Then my next suggestion is, hit the streets!!

What I mean by that, is go look at and drive every one you can. CraigsList, used lots, cars.com, autotrader. Hardtop, soft tops, autos, manuals, stock, lifted, rust buckets, showroom condition,6cyl, 4cyl.

Other than a rust bucket or a bad leaker, there is no bad TJ if it meets your standards.

Test drives are still free and from doing the suggestion above, you can decide on what you want and can get for your price.

No one else can pick a jeep for you.

Some advice you will never regret taking: Before you buy anything out there, learn ALL you can in here. Finding out what to avoid is much preferred to finding out how to repair the problem. Pick out the model you want, and learn all about it. This will prevent some dude from blowing smoke and selling you unrepairable junk.

Good luck and keep us posted.

That happens here a lot. I am thinking about not replying to anyone who ask questions with fewer than 100 post. Mostly high school kids I guess.
