My previous truck just blew its engine and I have to find something pretty fast to get around. I do mostly commuting, a decent amount of the interstate and country roads. I need something that gets decent MPG and would prefer something 4x4. I have considered the Jeep Liberty and found one at a local dealership. Its a 2004 with 71k miles and 3.7 liter engine, they are wanting $8,900 and where willing to go down to $8,000. I personally liked the car and it seems to be in good shape. I am concerned with the gas mileage and over all quality. Are there any common problems that anyone has out of these models? What is the typical life of these cars? Are they a good option for commuting and occasional off-roading? Anything else I should know?
Thanks for any advice,
