Registered User | Good luck trying to get a negative loan like that the dealership will proabably give you 4-5K in trade, which means your going to have to dump 8-9K in negative equity into the the next purchase, and banks aren't so willing to do that anymore even with good co-signers. I know when I bought my Rubicon I had to dump 2k of negative equity into the loan and I could only find one bank that would allow it, even with a good co-signer. I would say you are stuck with your liberty until its paid off, if you have extra cash try dumping into your loan to pay it off faster, that way in maybe a year or two you might be able to trade it then. My Rubicon was also 4K under KBB value, so that was another factor that helped. __________________ Max 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4.0L, 42RLE, Soft Top, Full Doors, Front Discos, Cragar Soft 8 Black Wheels, 31x10.5x15 Mickey Thompson MTX, Rubicon Locker Mod, OBA, Cobra 19 Ultra III CB, 3' Firestik, Rough Country 2.2 Steering Stabilizer, RC 1.25" BL, RC 1" MML. |

Sorry to hear you are so far upside down in your rig bud, but these days there is no quick fix to it if there is no money to bring the payoff down to book value. The days of the finance guys at dealerships pulling fast ones on the lenders and customers are all but gone, thank god. Sounds like a good time to do a solid axle swap and go wheeling to me martin __________________ 1998 XJ on 37's.JK Rubi axles with chromo shafts and ctm's, 4:1 transfer case, etc etc etc.The Cherylkee.... 1998 Range Rover 4.6 HSE.....troop transport for the kids n dogs. 2003+2004 honda aquatrax turbo/non turbo. family fun when wheeling is out! 4.3/700r4/new frame buildup (YJ).... http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/swap-offically-underway-324622/ | |
