I need help!

I am getting some tires (285/75/16) do I need a lift? If yes, any suggestions?

What year and make of Jeep? If its a TJ you'll need at least a 3" lift. If the wheels are stock you'll need to adjust the steering stops to keep the tires from rubbing at full lock.

I have a 2007 Wrangler, stock wheels and stock tires.

Actually its closer to a 33" tire. You should ask the guys on the JK technical forum for guidance. I have absolutely no knowledge of lift requirements for JKs.
