Diesel Jeeps

Anyone aware of other years that any model jeep was made with a diesel engine? I currently have the 2006 2.8l liberty crd, I'm considering selling it for an upgrade but would like to stick with the diesels for the longevity. There was rumor that the new grand cherokees would have the option but they pulled it last minute.

Don't give up your CRD unless you are absolutely positive your done with it. You'll never find another one for sale.

The Grands had a 3.0L diesel in 07 and 08.

I know it, I love my jeep and yes they are rare. I'll sell it to you. It's listed for $9500 right now.

The '07/08 Grand Cherokees with the 3.0L are great - factory mileage was 25mpg on the highway and with the Green Diesel calibration I'm at 27mpg.

And yes, the 2013 Grands will have a VM diesel option if that's more your style.
