buying new jeep/ which axle ratio

I am buying a new jeep want to put 35's on it, but want it to drive down the freeway at 65 without a problem, should I buy a lower end model and build on that or a rubicon, which axle ratio do I want

The Rubicon comes with 4.10's. I do not know what you want to use the Rubicon for but for highway driving I think you would be OK with this if you get the automatic transmission. This way you will have a lower cruising rpm as opposed to the manual.

Also with the 35's, the transfer case with the 4:1 reduction in the Rubicon is the way to go for off road.

Well if you are only going to 37s or smaller a Rubicon would defiantly be cheaper in the long run, if going bigger that I would buy a regular one and build it. As far as gearing it isn't going to matter you are going to have to regear the axles in what every you buy, but at least with the Rubicon you won't have to buy new carriers, if you get an auto you will want 5.13 gearing because of the high OD, even for hwy driving, as for the stick you will want at least 4.88 gearing, any way you look at you will need to regear 4.10 gears with a stick, would be just bearable with 35s any thing higher (numerically lower) you are going to hate with 35s. With an auto 4.10s will be unbearable especially at hwy speed because of high OD you will most likely have to turn it off most the time unless going down hill.
