buying '88 Jeep comanche mj...?

Hey folks, first post here. Lemme say thanks right off the bat for providing this resource!

So i am looking for a daily driver/farm truck and found this beautiful comanche.
http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/cto/4153046123.html

They're asking $2500, that seem high? I am headed out to check it right now. I have heard mixed reviews on parts availability... Any thoughts? A good buy?

Thanks!

Seems high, but looks like it's in really good shape. I would pay that much if it was 4x4 and I was looking for one.

2wd farm truck=blah

Got him down to $2000. Needs a new tailpipe (muffler good), tires, rotors looked grooved, could use new belts and new spark plugs. Otherwise a great truck. Shifted perfect, great power. I don't really need the 4x4.

Pricing seems a bit high. You could probably grab a 4x4 for about the same price. So you will need a new tailpipe, rotors, belts and spark plugs. seems like a lot of work for a 2k vehicle

Well the rotors may be ready to go with a turning. My mechanic just said sparkplugs are probably fine. Tailpipe costs $40.

I felt like i could have offered $1800. Ettiquette wise, should i bother negotiating further?
