axles in stock jeep Cherokee

Lookin to buy a jeep cherokee, don't know what year yet, I heard somewere that a hand full of Cherokees came factory with a Dana 44 in the rear is this true??

Look at Jeep Wiki at the top of the page to find the info you need. I am very happy with my 96, the high output I6 is much stronger than I expected. Stick with 91-01

Yes some came with a D44 rear, or a 8.25 Chrysler, or a D35. Front was either a LP D30 or a HP D30.
