I know there are other posts like this but I've already read through most of it.
I'm looking into an 08 Jk Rubi. already lifted with 35's. dauled out and everything. its really nice.
i had my eyes set on a manual, and its an automatic.
what would you guys do?
i've always thought automatic jeeps just aren't right. I just need some input from others. thanks

You just opened a can of worms.
If you have your eyes set on a manual then get a manual. Don't settle for less than what you want.
FWIW I have an automatic and my buddies envy it because in traffic MANUAL SUCKS! but it all comes down to personal preference man. I love my auto in my jeep, i will leave the manual for my dads mustang

It's up to you if you really want a manual get one, you can go wrong with an auto either. I would regear to 4.88 or 5.13 though, because of the high OD gear in the auto, otherwise just turn the OD off.

For me there's nothing but manual - but as the other guys said, to each their own. There's no "right answer" on this. It's personal preference and driving style.

I agree. Traffic is not an issue with me driving a manual. It is so "automatic" I don't even think about it.

Do you know if it's been re-geared?
My rubi is on 33's with the stock 4.11's and with the 6 speed it's no problem. With the auto's O/D gear I'm not so sure I would be so happy. With 35's, could be rough.
