Congrats Parksandrec!

Post some pics for all of us still waiting!
As for my own wait, I finally got a correct VON and VIN, and hopefully my Jeep will be produced sometime this month.
I ordered a Dark Charcoal Sahara w/nav, like others here still waiting. For others in the same boat, here's what our babies will look like when the Jeep Stork finally drops them off....

How 'bout this fellow Jeepers.... Picked up my Jeep in Baton Rogue, La and upon heading home, truck threw rock into windshield....and yes, it cracked! So, today I had a new windshield put in! I will post pix of my Natural Green Pearl Sahara. Has the dark kahki top and interior with nav.... Lots of fun!

Also, Rubicon2010, you did save me another $750 with your link on the internet certificate. Gang, if you are getting a Jeep in November, make sure you download it.

Thanks to all! Hope everyone gets their Jeeps soon. Noticied on cars.com that there are now 4500 Unlimiteds in America...and the number seems to be going up each week! Happy Jeeping!

Congratulations on the new vehicle, ParksAndRecRick!

I was shocked to hear about your windshield damage. Several years ago a mechanic put a deep scratch into a new vehicle of mine just 2 days after I took delivery. Damage soon after delivery can become very upsetting.

I am glad that you saved $750 on your vehicle. The link that I posted earlier no longer works, so I assume it was a very limited time offer. However, the Jeep website has a few incentives, including $750 for customer cash allowance. When I was picking up my Rubicon the salesman told me that, if I had been a repeat customer, I would have qualified for a owner loyalty incentive. Maybe next time.

In case anyone is curious, I looked again at the top of the grille area under the hood. The top of the grille is secured by plastic rivets, not bolts or screws. This means you must be reasonably skilled to remove the grille + rivets, install mesh protection, re-attach the grille somehow, and not damage your new vehicle while making the modification. Apparently, the anchoring has a design change in the 2010 models. I plan to leave my grille as it came from the factory.

With nearly 700 miles on the vehicle I continue to get at least 17 MPG with a combination of city driving and some highway driving. I found that short city runs eventually reduce the fuel economy to less than 17 MPG, while highway driving quickly restores it to over 17 MPG and upward. Fuel in my area costs about $2.29 per gallon. Considering how oil production in North Dakota continues to expand, I would not be surprised to see gasoline prices decline in the weeks ahead.

Got my jeep today!!!!!! Charcoal Gray - Sahara Unlimited with navi and 6 speed. I was really nervous driving the 6 speed since I haven't really driven a standard in about 20 years - muscle memory kicked in and I drove all the way across Houston without one problem. Had a blast! Love, love, the jeep. The navi system will definitely require some studying, but everything is great. I have already been "waved"!

Looking Great Rick, My local dealer got a 2010 Sahara in, in that colour and I am so glad I ordered it, I almost wish I went with the Khaki top now, seeing yours!

Could you take a picture of the interior? I am curious as people say the centre console has been redesigned for 2010 and I am curious as to how it differs from previous years...

That green looks a bit deeper than Jeep Green. I like it.
