Has anyone heard anything new about delivery of the 2010's? When I ordered my vehicle a few months ago I was given a delivery date of late August to early September. Later the expected delivery date was modified to this week, just before Labor Day weekend.

Recently the salesman more or less told me the latest revised delivery date is weeks or months into the future. This is a little disconcerting to say the least. He added that my vehicle is in the build stage, but that is not anything significant. I guess the hardtop vendor problem must have caused a major production delay.

The last time I met with the salesman he showed me 2009 orders that had been in progress for over 6 months with an expected delivery of 9-12 months. A long delay for delivery of a 2010 could certainly be possible given the current cirumstances.

Yes there were many 2009 that were delayed for months, but then the plant was shut down for months at a time a couple of times.

Yes they changed Hard top vendors for the 2010's but they are now being produced.

I would trust the production paperwork, not what a salesman said. They probably didn't even look, just pulled something out of their butt to tell you. MAKE him go and look, the dealership has a list of autos that are on the way.

There is a way to check where you order is online. Do a search and you may find it or someone should pop in with the information.

The salesman is being upfront and telling me the best he can. When I have visited his office he has shown me live orders on his computer's LCD. I was able to view items such as configuration, order date, expected delivery date, etc. As it stands now, the best I can hope for is delivery at the end of this month. I have low expectations for that date. One thing is for sure, if the vehicle is not delivered by Thanksgiving, I will probably cancel the order and forget the entire matter.

I ordered 2010 Wrangler last week & was told by the salesman 3 months estimated time of delivery. I was going to order the new optional leather seats but the salesman said those were coming up on the computer as backordered & would delay delivery even further so... went with the cloth seats.

I am hoping it will not be longer than 3 months that is for sure. I will be happy when jeep.com updates their website with the new 2010 models LOL I'd like to see a picture of what I ordered...

I have just received mine Yesterday!
I had an estimated delivery for the end of September but they surprised us on Monday and called us to tell us that it was ready.

I ordered a Sahara 2010 two doors Silver, so nothing special.

I promess I'll be posting pictures and any questions you have go ahead.

It's beautiful! I took it for a ride and a little offroad already.

I am in Houston, Texas - just spoke to a dealer today regarding the 2010 wrangler - I am interested in the 4 door sahara with the 6 speed - I asked regarding the delivery date - he told me it would be February or March 2010. That is just hard to believe, but he seemed to be certain of his comments. Anyone heard these dates?

Wow comet that is a long time I can't believe they are THAT backed up. Maybe call another dealership & see what they say.

Like I said on previous post I ordered 2-door Sahara last week & salesman gave estimated time of delivery at 3 months which is about the maximum I can wait. If it ends up being next year I don't think I can wait that long I might have to do something drastic like get an xterra instead!

I can definitely believe it. When I spoke with my salesman a few months ago he showed me some orders that had incredibly long delivery times. I can't recall which models these were, but the customers were being forced to wait at least 9 months for delivery. They ordered at the wrong time and got caught in the factory idle and shutdown periods. You really must have patience to wait this long.

I ordered mine on July 3. I was told yesterday it had been shipped and was expected to arrive Sept 11.

I was talking to one of the salesmen at the dealership today. He said the 2010's don't have the lifetime powertrain warranty like the 09's? Bummer.

I live just North of the Toledo Jeep Plant and I can tell you the 2010 Wranglers are being shipped daily. Saw several arrive in Monroe, Michigan today. There are some delays on newer options but I did see a four door softop with the soft doors at the dealer today. Hang in there, the wheels are turning again!!

That's what I have been told - 5 yr - 100,000 miles on the powertrain - but it is transferrable - I was trying to find an 09 for that reason, but couldn't find one with the options, color, etc.
