98 Jeep Wrangler
I am looking for a Jeep Wrangler 4 cyclinder. I was looking at a 98 jeep wrangler, 2.5L 4-Cylinder, manual, 107,083 miles. They are asking for $6,995. Does that sound like a good deal or how much do you think I could talk them down?

Have you looked at it yet? Whats the NADA or Blue Book say about it? These should be your first step. Know what the vehicle sells for, based on condition, in your area. Then inspect it and verify the condition the seller claims. Based on this: Based on the values specified, the actual sale price can be from about 3200$ to almost 7K. Could be more, could be less *depending* on what the *real* condition of the Jeep is. Only way to know that is to *look* at it! Cus you ain't taking the sellers word for sh*t, right? Frame might be rotted to hell and then I wouldn't give him 1200$ for it! Or, maybe he doused the frame in motor oil when he bought it new, kept it in the garage, never drove it in the rain, never put the top down, never got a speck of dirt or rust on it and kept it in showroom condition and then it might be worth as much as 10-12K!! So...only way to know is to look. Armed with the above info and the guide, you act accordingly....Good luck! I am searching for another Jeep now, after being Jeepless for the last year. Big Fun, shopping is!

Yeah I bought mine for $4200 and I live in PA so Rust is King! Poke at frame for ROT is a must, don't just look at the frame.

wayyyy too high for a 98 with a 4 banger. You can find one with a 6 for about the same price.

I got my 99 with lift and new 33's on it for 6900 after negotiating it down from 8000 at a smaller dealer. It's the 4.0L

If it is in super, great, outstanding, mint condition- 5500 Max. 6695$? That sound like it is at a dealership. Offer 5500 plus Tax title and lic. That only if it is in great condition and is the( exactly the color and options your looking for) otherwise 5500 is too much still. if it so so or ok 4500$.
