97 TJ - decent deal? Opinions are great!

Hey guys - thinking of going to look @ this TJ, wondering if you guys think it's a decent deal: 97 manual trans, 104K, soft top only, says it has brand new rims and tires, windshield, radiator and cluth (10K ago). Has A/C, no cruise and asking 5900. So...what do you guys think?

Thanks!

2.5 or 4.0? Be sure to check for rust issues.

4.0 with no rust and new parts...seems reasonable enough to me....of course cheaper is always best....

4 or 6 cyl? My brother got a 4 cyl just like that for 500 dollars (complete with a bent rear rim, shredded rear tire and 1 bent axle and a medium dent)
I think the price is high if its a 4cyl but id just have to see it to decide?

Finding a 4.0 around here for under $6k is difficult. I'd say its a decent deal.

That's a really good price if it looks good (where I live in Va).I bought my 98 sport 4.0/a/c with 70,000 miles from the original over 40 owner for $6000 cash.It had NEVER been offroad and that was a steal. My 98's KBB value now is $8500-9000 here stock.I've fixed it up a bit and could still break even if I sold it.I was offered $9000 for it recently.

In MN, I'm not sure.... but I know in southern cali that would be a GREAT deal. I paid $6800 for my 97' 2.5 with 70,000 miles on it. Completely stock. That's just slightly on the low end for the prices around here for a 4cyl. A 6cyl would have been at least $8000

If everything checks out on the jeep I would jump on that deal. I missed a similar deal and am kicking myself for it. Of course prices could be different here in the south...
