'91 Renegade

My boyfriend recently turned me on to Jeeps, and I've been looking everywhere for a good deal on one. Well, a few days ago I noticed an ad that seemed like a steal on a 1991 Jeep Wrangler Renegade. It's a 6 cyl 4.0 auto with 120,000 miles on it. We test drove it today and I'm a little skeptical about it. My boyfriend knows a ton of information on Jeeps and said everything was basically up to par. There wasn't any rust on the body. The dealer replaced the floor board because that had rusted through. My only concern is when we drove it the brake light was on and the brakes pulsed a little bit, it idles some (expected with older vehicles), there was oil all over the engine and I believe some was leaking out onto the ground, the vents on the inside seemed to be blocked or something, the last two gages on the dash aren't working (oil and battery), and the dealer said something about the driver seat needing to be welded to the floor better. I'm not really a fan of the renegades, so I was thinking about taking that plastic off, getting new fenders, front bumper, and fender flares to make it look like a normal YJ. Do you guys think this Jeep is worth paying $2,900 for?

Sorry for the crappy picture, but this is the only one I have.
