87 YJ battery Solenoid issue

i found an 87 YJ with the 4.2L i6. its listed for 600$ just wondering if it is worth it. The owner says there is hole in the frame on the back and that "something in the steering column causes it to roll over when the battery solenoids are put on".
Is it worth it? I'm looking for a project car but it will be my first Jeep. Any input is appreciated.

Good stuff!

Makes absolutely no sense, of course. But then you didn't want it to.
